Sweden Tele2 Assaults the Kremlin in Russia

European discounter Cellular Tele2 may appear in Moscow.  

At the largest in the mobile telephony market in Russia - Moscow - may now be a new player. Russian capital subsidiary of Sweden Tele2, which hopes to provide  communication services in Moscow in the standard of fourth generation (4G). The company can repeat the fate of "MegaFon" and become the second largest discounter in Moscow, taking up to 10% of the market.

Tele2 lost fight for 3G in Russia to "big three", decided to take revenge in the fourth generation (4G). In early February, the company sent a letter to Minister of Communications Igor Shchegolev, with request for permission to operate in 4G networks in the North-West region. 

In the future Tele2 hopes to obtain a federal status.
