International Aspect of RUSNANOTECH 2010 Forum

During November 1-3, within the framework of the RUSNANOTECH 2010 Forum leading world scientists and heads of international innovation companies will share their vision of nanotechnology problems and development prospects.


Interest in the Forum on the part of foreign scientists and businessmen increasingly grows. Now one can state for sure that during the two years of its operation the Forum has gained recognition as one of the leading international venues for discussion of urgent issues of innovative development. In 2010, as compared to the previous year, the number of RUSNANOTECH foreign participants registered has increased nearly by a third.


Among the top managers of major foreign companies to speak at the Forum events are President of SEMI Europe Heinz Kundert, Vice President of GlaxoSmithKline Sandy Macrae, Managing Partner of Celtic Pharma Holding John Mayo, Director for Global Business Development of Hoffmann—La Roche Valeria Povolotsky, Technical Director and Chairman of the Board of Juniper Pradeep Sindhu, Director General of JKB Capital David Kronfeld and others.


Additionally, there are reports to be delivered by world-famous representatives of academic elite including Professor Xiang Zhang of UC Berkeley, Vice Principal of MIT Professor Claude R. Canizares, Head Researcher of Nokia Chris Bower and others.


The Forum will specially focus on development of innovative technologies in Germany. This year on the Scientific and Technological Program of the Forum the «New Horizons» Russian-and-German nanomaterial symposium is planed. Leading German professors and directors of 7 German Research Institutes will take part in the symposium.


Accounting for the interest recently taken in usage of the experience of our nationals working in hi-tech sphere abroad, a special section was put on RUSNANOTECH 2010 Program. The section activities will be participated in by Andrey Slepnev, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation, Alexander Chepurin, Director of Department for Work with Nationals, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Konstantin Kosachev, Chairperson of the Russian Federation State Duma Committee for International Affairs, Leonid Gozman, Humanitarian Projects Director, Rusnanotech State Corporation, Alexey Khokhlov, Pro-Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Anna Dvornikova, President of AmBAR, Vyacheslav Safarov, President of RASA. The section keynote topic is discussion of forms and mechanisms of involvement of Russian specialists working abroad into innovative processes in Russia.
