Formula 1 Will Be Held In Sochi In 2014


Bernie Ecclestone and CEO of  "Technology Transfer Center of Building Complex of Krasnodar Territory "Omega" Michael Kapirulin signed an agreement on holding a Formula-1 race in Sochi in 2014.

The championship of Formula 1 in Russia will help  the Russian race team Marussia Motors to enter the elite world of autorsport.

Under the contract the route for  first World Championship in Russia will be constructed in the Imereti Valley. To create a Circuit infrastructure built during preparation for the  Olympics 2014
will be partly used. Track length will be 5.5 miles and it will pass directly to the Olympic Park, and partially will include public roads. The project of tracks was created by the chief architect of the Formula 1 Hermann Tilke.
 

Diring a meeting with Premier Minister Vladimir Putin willingness to finance the project expressed president of "LUKOIL" Alekperov, head of "Basic Element" Oleg Deripaska, head of "MegaFon" Sergei Soldatenkov, General director of "Russian Technologies" Chemezov, as well as the Head of the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Tkachev .
