3D TV Sales Start by Sony, Panasonic and Sumsung

Sony Corp will begin selling televisions capable of transmitting three-dimensional image in June 2010, trying to gain share in the fast-growing market, which attracts a growing number of players. 

Sony plans to sell TV with 46-inch screen for 350,000 yen ($ 3.875) and a model with 40-inch screen for 290,000 yen. Each TV is equipped with two pairs of 3D-glasses.

Japanese giant of electronics market hopes that next year its 3D TVs will make more than 10 percent of more than 25 million LCD TVs, which the company plans to sell.

Panasonic Corp plans to begin sales of three-dimensional television in the U.S. on March 10, 2010.

Last month, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd, the world's largest manufacturer of TVs, started selling 3D TVs in South Korea and announced plans to go to other markets in March.
