Coca-Cola filed in the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) application for the purchase of Russian juice producer Nidan and awaits approval of the transaction within 3-9 months, told Reuters a source close to the American company.
According to a source, the deal is agreed between the parties and approved by the parent company. "All necessary agreements have been made. It remains to be approved by FAS," - he said. Spokesman of Coca-Cola in Russia, said that the company is collecting the necessary documents.
The main shareholder of Nidan - the fourth-largest juice producer in Russia - is British private equity fund Lion Capital. The latter bought 75 percent of the company for $ 530 million in 2007. 24.9 per cent share belong to the founders of the company: Igor Shilov, Leonid Shayman and Csaba Balera. Lion is considering proposals to sell their package in Nidane.
