At this level, the market is supported by the dynamics of world stock and commodity areas.

Apple Sued HTC Corp

Apple Inc has sued the Taiwanese handset manufacturer HTC Corp, accusing it of violating of 20 technical and software patents.

Fast growing smart phone market was the scene of fierce patent disputes in recent months - Eastman Kodak Co, in January filed a lawsuit against Apple and BlackBerry manufacturer Research in Motion Ltd.  Nokia and Apple exchanged by the mutual claims.


iPhone manufacturer in particular believes that its patents are violated by Nexus One phone produced by HTC and other phones, such as Hero, Dream and my Touch, using the Android operating system produced by Google.


Although the complaint does not mention Google Inc directly, many analysts believe that the actions of Apple in fact is an attack on the internet giant.

Eurobonds of MTS Russia

Mobile operator MTS intends in 2010

- to place eurobonds worth up to $ 1 billion

- or ruble bonds worth up to 35 billion rubles to refinance the debt of the company, told MTS to Reuters reporters.

The company is also considering the option of attracting loans from foreign banks in the amount of $ 200 to $ 500 million for a period of over five years with the expected rate of LIBOR +3,5-4,5 percent.

Oriflame New Production Complex in Russia

International cosmetics company Oriflame plans to put into operation a new production complex near Moscow in 2013. The Companie's investment in the next four years would range from 125 to 175 million euros, says Oriflame.

In February 2010 the company acquired land area of 26 hectares in Noginsk Industrial Park, 40 kilometers from Moscow.

The company intends to place a mixed-use complex that includes a large logistic center and a manufacturing division that specializes in production of cosmetics for body care and hair. Oriflame plans future expansion of production lines.

Nude Models of Burger King

With provocative advertising videos featuring nude models at a sauna and a grumpy airport border guard, Burger King, one of the largest fast food corporations in the world, has established a presence in Russia.

 Two restaurants were opened in Moscow.

The company, which operates more than 12,000 restaurants in 73 countries, is entering the Russian market as a part of its expansion strategy in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Expo 2010 in Shanghai

EXPO-2010 will be held in Shanghai from May 1 to October 31, 2010 under the theme "Better City, Better Life".

The expo town near the center of Shanghai allotted six square kilometers will present works of 191 countries.

The main ideas of Russian exposition will be the image of Russian "Kitezh-Grad", which will reflect all aspects of modern cities.

Russian Auction House (RAH) prepared to sell part of the peninsula in the waters of the Neva River in the area of Malookhtinsky Avenue in St. Petersburg, the RAH site informs.

Renault Launched the Second Stage of Production in Moscow

One of the world's largest automakers - French Renault launched on Monday the second stage of production at the Moscow plant Avtoframos, increasing production capacity doubled - to 160 thousand cars per year. 

In the ceremony of launching new production facilities participated Renault president Carlos Ghosn.

Investment in capacity expansion of Avtoframos to 160 thousand cars per year amounted to 150 million. Initially, the construction of the factory Renault in Moscow invested 250 million dollars. 

In addition, since March 1, Renault began selling in Russia the new model Sandero, produced at Avtoframos, its production in Russia was launched in late 2009. 

OJSC Avtoframos was established on July 2, 1998  as a joint venture of Renault and the Moscow government. As a result of corporate restructuring, held on December 26, 2006, the share of Renault's capital of OAO Avtoframos is 94,1%. The Moscow City Government currently retains 5.9%. In 2005, Avtoframos run production of the model Renault Logan.

Lebedev Buys British Independant

Russia's businessman Alexander Lebedev buys the British newspaper the Independent for one pound, but within five years, he promises to invest millions, reported on Monday the online version of the Times.  

In 2009, Lebedev had already become the owner of a majority stake in the London evening paper Evening Standard. The newspaper has also been given to him for the symbolic sum of one pound, but Lebedev pledged to cover losses of the Evening Standard. 

As expected, the deal, under which Lebedev will have control over the nationwide Independent and Independent on Sunday, will be done before  March 24, 2010, after the media group Independent News & Media publishes the annual financial results.

Organizers of Rusal IPO Ignored Their Option Right

Organizers of "Rusal" IPO did not exercised their right to the option realization. The option period expired on February 26, 2010. 

 According to the prospectus of the company, if that over-allotment option would have been fully implemented, the additional offer would amount to 1,5% of the enlarged share capital. 

 "Rusal" became the first company in Russia, which held IPO in Hong Kong and on Euronext in Paris. Bidding of shares and GDS of "Rusal" started on January 27, 2010.
